The 2022 Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 7th December, Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, followed by wine and mince pies, and a gardening quiz. Vice Chair Jane Bloore provided a report on the year’s activities. This included great turnout for both coffee morning, and garden walk in Berry Walk in the sunshine, but sadly continued drought and heatwaves contributed to cancellation of the autumn show. Thanks to everyone who contributed to a successful year. Members approved a proposal to make a donation to ALDAG’s gardening group in memory of former Chairman, Colin Cheeseman. Mike Roshier stepped down as Treasurer after 20 years, and Barrie Mould was elected to take over the reins. Many thanks to Mike for ensuring that the Society remains on a sound financial footing. Congratulations to Barrie for also winning the Quiz!
